The special meeting of the Franklin Town Board was called to order by Supervisor Don Smith at 7:30 p.m. Present Were Susan Fairbairn, Arthur Swenson, Supervisor Don Smith and Highway Superintendent Mark Laing. Absent were Jeff Taggart and Garret Sitts.

The meeting Was held to open bids for the purchase of a 2002 or newer tandem axle dump truck and a brush chipper.

Only one bid was received for the dump truck and that was from Stadium International in Syracuse. They bid $42,000.00. Susan Fairbairn made a motion to accept the bid of $42,000.00 from Stadium International. Arthur Swenson seconded the motion and all present agreed.

Only one bid Was received for the brush chipper and that was from Bandit Industries, Inc. They bid $34,082.00. Arthur Swenson made a motion to accept the bid of $34,082.00 from Bandit Industries, Inc. Susan Fairbairn seconded the motion and all present agreed.

With no further business to come before the Board, Supervisor Don Smith moved for adjournment at 7:35 p.m. Susan Fairbairn seconded the motion and all present agreed.
