Tom Morgan Reads From His Books

May 7, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Join Tom Morgan at the Franklin Railroad and Community Museum as he reads passages from his books, Trial in Cooperstown and Ales, Tales, and Ghosts at the Old Empire Hotel.

Trial In Cooperstown delivers a compelling, intimate account of a 2006 manslaughter trial that took place at the Otsego County Courthouse in Cooperstown. Timothy Beckingham was accused of beating his wife to death. Through observations of the proceedings and descriptions of the courtroom, the witnesses, the attorneys, the judge, and most importantly, Timothy Beckingham, the reader is able to come to their own conclusions about what transpired on the night of July 23, 2004.

Ales, Tales, and Ghosts at the Old Empire Hotel is a “family adventure—trials and tri- umphs, laughs and tears—in the four play series Tales of the Empire…A banquet that tickles your ribs while it touches your heart.”

Books will be available for purchase. Light refreshments will be served.

Any proceeds from the Open House will benefit the Franklin Railroad and Community Museum and the Fenimore Museum in Cooperstown.

Visit Tom Morgan’s website.
