The regular monthly meeting of the Franklin Town Board was called to order at 7:35 P.M. by Supervisor Jeffrey Taggart. Present were Jeff Taggart, Garret Sitts, David Grant, Donnie Smith , Dwight Bruno and Paul Warner. Also present were Dave Tuthill, Deb Tuthill, Roger Reed, Pete Nero, Don Hebbard, Mike Wallace and Tony Breuer. Jaime Archibald arrived after the meeting was called to order.
The minutes were read from the February 6, 2018 meeting. Garret Sitts made a motion to accept the minutes as read. David Grant seconded the motion and all agreed.
Dwight Bruno and Donnie Smith audited the Town’s financial records on February 14, 2018 for the year of 2017. Dwight Bruno made a motion that the records were audited and Dwight Bruno and Jeff Taggart will audit the Town Court records in March.
Garret Sitts made a motion for a Resolution for a Qualified Road Abandonment for a portion of Beebe Road and Dumond Road be sent to the Department of Public Works. David Grant seconded and all agreed.
Jamie Archibald reporting for the Town Highway Department. They are getting quotes for a new truck body for the service truck. April will be bid month. Garret Sitts made a resolution to rent a broom for one month. David Grant seconded the motion and all agreed.
David Grant made a motion to rent a boom truck for one month for $5600.00. Dwight Bruno seconded the motion and all agreed.
The Board is looking for a new Board of Assessment Review member. If anyone is interested, please contact Jeff Taggart.
David Grant made a motion to adopt the Energy Benchmarking Requirements. Garret Sitts seconded the motion and all agreed.
The Kellogg Educational and Community Center will be having a pavilion built this summer. The Town will be using an outside source to catch up on the year end audits.
David Grant made a motion at 8:30 to go into executive session for legal matters after snacks. Garret Sitts seconded the motion and all agreed.
The Board came back from executive session at 9:30 P.M. With nothing further to come before the Board, Garret Sitts made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Donnie Smith seconded the motion and all agreed.
