The special meeting of the Franklin Town Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the proposal from Delta Engineering and the meeting with Cheryl Saco the Town Attorney. Present were Don Smith, Garret Sitts, David Grant, Lisa Huyck and Supervisor Jeff Taggart. Also present were Gene Marner, Carole Marner, Betty Fischer, Jan Mulroy, Brian Brock, Liz Serrao, Jerry Hebbard, Don Hebbard, Pete Bevilacqua, Linda Bevilacqua, Pete Nero, Roger Reed, Tony Breuer, Matt Tyrell and Joe Shivers.

Jeff and Lisa met with Cheryl Saco and a representative from Delta Engineering on Friday August 7th. Delta Engineering gave a quote of $6400.00, possibly less if the training can be done at the same time as Davenport and/ or Meredith. The training is for the Highway Department individuals, Town Board members and Code Enforcement Officials. Trained individuals can then monitor the traffic on the roads. Don Smith made a resolution to hire Delta Engineering at a cost to not exceed $7000.00. David Grant seconded the motion and all present agreed.

Lisa Huyck made a motion to appoint Cheryl Saco to draw up a Road Use Law at a cost to not exceed $1500.00. Don Smith seconded the motion and all present agreed.

With no other business to come before the Board, Garett Sitts made a motion for adjournment. Lisa Huyck seconded the motion and all agreed.
