The regular meeting of the Franklin Town Board was to order by Supervisor Jeff Taggart at 7:35 P.M. Present were Jeff Taggart, Garret Sitts, David Grant, Dwight Bruno, Mark Laing and Paul Warner. Absent was Donnie Smith. Also present were Pete Bevilaqua, Roger Reed, Pete Nero, Tony Breuer, Linda DeAndrea, Dave Tuthill, Alan Lapp, Daryl Lapp, Joe Shivers, Donnie Hebbard, Jamie Archibald and Gary Arndt.
The minutes were read from the July10, 2018 meeting. David Grant made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Dwight seconded the motion and all present agreed.
Dave Tuthill gave the report for the Kellogg Franklin Trust.
Planning Board report was given by Jeff. Daria Williams is doing a sub-division on her property. Dog Food manufacturing plant needs to come to the Planning Board to get a special use permit. Jeff will have Mark Jacobs send them a letter to that affect.
Mark Laing got bids for 2 trucks for $22,000.00 each. Garret made a motion to purchase the trucks for $22,000.00. Dave seconded the motion and all present agreed. Jackson Hill Road will be paved sometime in August.
The pool needs repair. The sidewalk by the cemetery also is in need of repair. Jeff is looking into getting grant money for the two projects.
Garret made a motion to go into Executive session regarding employee issue at 8:45 P.M. Dave seconded the motion and all agreed. The Board returned from Executive session at 9:30P.M.
Vouchers # 333-377 were presented for payment.
With nothing further to come before the Board Garret made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:30 P.M. Dwight seconded the motion and all present agreed.
